So often people contact me about food options. No one wants to eat bland food. No lifestyle is going to include bland foods. There is a reason a diet is called a diet and not a lifestyle. It isn’t meant to maintain. It’s not meant to be done forever (or ever in my opinion). It’s also the reason why diets DON’T WORK!!!
Every one of my clients eat delicious food. Every meal they eat can be seasoned and flavored to their preference. The key is creativity. No, you can’t slap butter and ranch dressing on everything and expect to meet your goals aesthetically. BUT you can flavor everything with spices to create an appealing meal. Rather than plain boiled, grilled or baked chicken! who the heck likes plain boiled chicken?!? EWE!
Today, while I was preparing some chicken, I decided to snap some pics to share….I often forget that these ideas come easy to me. I refuse to eat bland food and I refuse to not meet my goals! So, I figure out how to make my food taste delicious while sticking to my nutrition program in order to meet my goals. If you need help in this area click here!
So… here is the raw chicken straight out of the package. The tenderloins were on sale so I got them this week. I also often use chicken breasts or the frozen tenderloins. I just get whatever is cheaper. The breasts I recommend trimming…
Here is the seasoning packet I used….I actually only used half of it, but if you REALLY like ranch you could use the whole thing. We like to use our chicken for different things so I don’t always want it all flavored exactly the same. It tastes great with 1/2 the packet.
I also made some rice to go with the chicken today. I used the minute rice and cooked it on the stove with a mix of chicken broth and beef broth for added flavor. It SOOOO easy!! It’s equal liquid to rice (super easy). You can make single portions or cook ahead. I like to cook ahead. I usually buy the Great Value brand, but I must’ve already been at Target because this was in the cabinet….
Let me know if you have any questions!! Don’t fall into the dieting trap of eating foods you don’t like.
Your post was very informative thank you for that
